Costa Rica Offshore Fishing Charters
A Costa Rica Offshore Fishing Charters will provide an entire day of incredible adventures, allowing you to try inshore, offshore, and bottom fishing. On this complete tour, the captain will take you to try different types of fishing and see the wide variety of local sea life along the coastline of Peninsula Papagayo. Some species you can target include Sailfish, Marlin, Bull Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna, and many more!

Offshore fishing (or deep-sea fishing) is any type of fishing done more than 9 miles from the shoreline. When you’re deep sea fishing, you’re usually pretty far from land…roughly 20-30 miles out, in waters that are hundreds or even thousands of feet deep. Hence the name “deep sea fishing.” Offshore fishing charters involve longer distances and more than an hour of travel. Larger boats, sometimes larger fish, heavy-duty equipment, and large heavy bait.
For your next fishing vacation, book a trip to Costa Rica and join a fishing trip with Tuna Fish Sportfishing. Captain Moises and mate are very experienced and knew where to go for the fish species we wanted, Roosterfish. We were picked up by boat from our Villa at Behia Pez Vela , which made it so much easier for me not having to arrange transportation. We were provided snacks, sandwiches, water & beer! I would definitely recommend Captain Moises. Thank you Captain Moises , mate , tuna fish sportsfishing and COSTA RICA!Posted on Google Sarah FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My family of four enjoyed an unforgettable full day of fishing with Manuel and Jaime on the God Will. This was our first real off shore fishing trip. Prior to the excursion, we were asked what we were hoping to catch, and the captain did not disappoint! We were picked up on the shore of Ocotal beach and my son reeled in a sailfish within the first hour and a half. (Billfish are catch and release.) Before the end of the day, my son and daughter each pulled in a tuna and mahi mahi, checking 3 out of four fish off our wishlist. Jaime watched the lines like a hawk, and was quick the get us on the rod. During slow times, he prepared beautiful plates of pineapple and watermelon, sandwiches, and chips with black bean dip and salsa. We also enjoyed fresh mahi mahi sashimi prepared with avocado, lime and onion, served with chips. The boat was well stocked with a variety of cold drinks, water and a few beers.Thankfully, Jaime spoke English and answered all of our questions about fishing and the area. At the end, Jaime filleted our fish in the return trip. We saw 3 sea snakes, at least 5 large sea turtles, and more dolphins than we could count, which many times swam near the boat. Everything was professional from start to finish. The company was very responsive to texts. They took pictures that we hope to get soon. Overall, this was a dream trip for my children, 11 and 14, and myself and my husband. I highly recommend. Things you may be wondering: 1. The toilet was in a small space, but did flush. The roof comes off so you can get air if you're claustrophobic. The floor got wet in there. No toilet paper. I recommend bringing wet wipes if you may need them, and at least to wipe your hands. 2. There will be fish blood. It will get on you. Dress accordingly. However, the boat was kept clean the entire time. We washed off with buckets of sea water. 3. We came back with WAY more filleted fish than we expected but didn't know that until we got off the boat. I should have offered some to the crew. 4. If you bring kids, know that there are slow times, like all fishing. Mine did great but we did play some games ("imposter" using my phone) spotted sea life, and sunbathed during downtime. 5. There is a roof, which provided excellent shade, but we still got sunburned. 6. We went in the rainy season but the weather was clear and warm. We were not rained on. Darker clouds started forming around 2:30. Rain usually comes later in the day. 7. The waves were not big, no whitecaps, but rolling. We were able to sit on the bow and enjoy the scenery between catches. No one got seasick, but when I got off the boat, I still had sea legs for about 3 hours. 😵💫Posted on Google Amanda ZachmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This excursion was so much fun with our family. We caught 6 fish and had a blast. The captain made us fresh ceviche and pineapple.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
